Tarlac City- The 2.5-million-strong members of the Philippine Guardians Brotherhood Inc. (PGBI), headed by its Grand Supremo Senator Gregorio Honasan threw their support Saturday to Nacionalista Party (NP) standard-bearer Sen. Manuel Villar.
During the group’s 9th national convention at the Diwa ng Tarlac auditorium here, attended by representatives from all over the country, the PGBI expressed belief that Senator Villar, whom they called as a son of the masses, could upgrade the living condition in the country.
Joining in the NP were senatorial candidates Rodolfo Plaza, Danilo Lim, and Ariel Querubin who were represented by their wives; and other local candidates of the NP. Honasan said that when he introduced Villar before the jampacked auditorium as son of the masses who sympathizes with the PGBI, an introduction that was interrupted by deafening applause from the members of the Guardians
