Lakas-Kampi-CMD standard- bearer Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro Jr. brought his campaign to Kidapawan City last Friday as he pledged for more infrastructure and development projects for the province if elected to unleash North Cotabato’s vast agricultural potential.

“North Cotabato will always have a soft place in my heart and I will do everything, if elected, to ensure that the peace and prosperity it enjoys will continue,” Teodoro said.

In North Cotabato, Teodoro was greeted with a tremendous display of support during festivities marking the city’s 12trh founding anniversary.

North Cotabato Gov. Jesus “Susing” Sacdalan, citing Teodoro’s role in keeping the peace in the province and the region, vowed to get a hefty majority of the province’s 600,000 voters behind Teodoro’s bid to win the presidency in the May elections.

Addressing 20,000 supporters who filled the city gym to capacity to welcome Teodoro and his senatorial ticket, Sacdalan urged them and their relatives to support the ruling party’s presidential candidate.

“Please convince your family members and friends to vote for Gibo. It is time to have someone of his caliber to lead us in the next six years,” Sacdalan said.

“If you can convince 10 or even more of your relatives to vote for Teodoro, so much the better,” thegovernor added.

Sacdalan said Teodoro, the 1989 Bar topnotcher, has done much to promote the peace and development the region is enjoying and helping Teodoro win the elections is “the least North Cotabato residents can do” for him.

He said he felt confident that a hefty majority of the province’s voters would help bring Teodoro to Malacañang.

He recalled that Teodoro was one of ranking government officials who showed support for the province when it was terrorized in August 2008 by Umbra Cato, the rogue Moro Islamic Liberation Front commander, in retaliation for the failure of the proposed memorandum of agreement on ancestral domain between the MILF and the central government
