Local exec hopes for progress under ‘Gibo’

by BEN R. ROSARIO (Manila Bulletin)

North Cotabato Gov. Jesus Sacdalan Tuesday aired hopes that “peace and prosperity” in the province will prevail under a government headed by Lakas-Kampi-CMD presidential bet Gilberto “Gibo” Teodoro Jr.

Sacdalan cited Teodoro’s platform for peace and development as a guarantee for progress for Mindanao provinces like North Cotabato. The governor welcomed Teodoro and the Lakas-Kampi team during their visit to Kidapawan City last Friday where they joined festivities marking the city’s 12th founding anniversary.
Citing Teodoro's role in keeping peace in the province and the region, Sacdalan vowed to get a hefty majority of the province’s 600,000 voters behind Teodoro’s bid to win the presidency in the May elections.

Addressing 20,000 supporters who filled the city gym to capacity to welcome Teodoro and his senatorial ticket, Sacdalan urged them and their relatives to support the ruling party’s presidential candidate.

“Please convince your family members and friends to vote for Gibo. It is time to have someone of his caliber to lead us in the next six years,” Sacdalan said, adding that “if you can convince 10 or even more of your relatives to vote for Teodoro, so much the better.”

Moved by the immense support, Teodoro pledged more infrastructure and development projects for the province if elected to unleash North Cotabato’s vast agricultural potential
